The 2020 Community Voices grant will support the creation of additional opportunities and support for community-based artists, activists, and scholars through Bulletin, a collaborative, web-based editorial platform for critically reading and reimagining public monuments through stories of social justice.

The 2020 Community Voices grant will support the creation of the Coatesville Black Media Renaissance (CBMR) project, which will use storytelling and media-making to heal and reconcile race relations in the city of Coatesville. Specifically, CMBR will provide local artists and storytellers a vehicle to amplify community voices through a variety of media platforms such as film, print media, and mural arts to create a community driven media model that activates change against unjust media narratives, policing, and other racist practices that continue to marginalize Coatesville residents.

This one-year grant will support an impact campaign featuring a series of targeted screenings and discussions to educate the public on the D.A.'s role in the criminal legal system. These events will explore: systemic inequalities and who has access or barriers to power; media narratives about public safety and the criminal legal system; accountability for elected officials; and pathways forward.

This one-year grant will support "Philly D.A." an in-depth documentary series that examines criminal justice reform in the era of Larry Krasner's tenure as Philadelphia's District Attorney.

Nominated to receive a grant for Trash Academy. The initiative is a “collaboratory” between community members in Southeast Philly, artists, environmental activists, and high school students from all across the city who inspire a wellspring of actions around trash issues.

This three-year grant provides Leeway the opportunity to make small, community-centered grants to artists at the intersection of media and social justice, and to bring much-needed capital to marginalized communities.

IPMF is establishing a fund in partnership with Bread & Roses to support grassroots media and media making across the region.

To support the launch of the Solidarity Fund which provides rapid response support to grassroots community organizers, including tools and equipment for media making.
