COVID-19 Emergency Fund to 2019 Grantees.

Nominated to receive to receive a general operating grant for CTE Digital Video Program, a three-year high school-based program provides students with real-world opportunities to gain new skills and demonstrate existing skills in media production.

The 2020 Community Voices grant will support Philly Audio Diaries, a youth public radio training program. The program will provide POC youth with rigorous, one-on-one reporting experience in the city. In addition to connecting youth to public radio stations, the program will compensate students for their work.

The 2021 Community Voices grant will support a youth radio project led by teen girls about the criminal justice system.

Through the 2021 Community Voices Grant, Manifestando Tus Sueños will utilize various communication tools (digital, visual, written and audio) to advocate for, empower, inspire and educate those who wish to manifest their dreams past their current realities. Through Spanish-language content, Manifestando Tus Sueños will motivate their audience to evolve, create and live up to their maximum potential.

Through the 2021 Community Voices grant, One Art Community Center will promote healing and self-reliance in the BIPOC community by establishing a solar powered, eco-sustainable multimedia lab that teaches the skills of communication, literacy, leadership, and problem solving through technology and the arts.

The “What is Sex?” podcast provides a platform for adults to reflect on their early experiences with sexuality and bodies in order to heal and better support young people in their development.

Through the 2021 Digital Equity grant, the Equity Project will provide Kensington's majority Black and brown community with access to state of art technology and broadband internet, the skill-building and knowledge needed to navigate digital content and technology, and the media grassroots organizing tools to empower community members, youth and old, to be leaders and advocates for their families and community.
