Through the 2021 Community Voices grant, CCATE will create a digital magazine, Rev Arte, where the Latinx immigrant community can share their talents and perspective, reframing negative portrayals of the community and authoring their own stories. Additionally, the grant will foster the organization's community leadership through the expansion of CCATE's media programming and the development of an internship program.

The 2020 Community Voices grant will support the production of five documentaries and five podcast episodes created by community members in CCATE's filmmaking and podcast classes. These series will address the impact of immigration, health disparity, mental health and housing challenges on the Latinx community during COVID-19.

The 2021 Community Voices grant will support the creation of a multimedia room for community members to produce arts and culture reportage focused on Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) communities in the Philadelphia area.

A one-year grant to affirm the City of Philadelphia's commitment to community media and digital inclusion. PhillyCAM will advocate for the value of public access television, in order to secure a positive outcome from the upcoming Verizon franchise negotiation for PhillyCAM and PEG channels overall.

The People Power News Radio Initiative aims to train a multigenerational cohort of community radio reporters to tell stories from their unique neighborhood perspectives on topics such as mutual aid, economic inequality and more.

To present an eight-week retrospective of the eight seasons of Philadelphia Stories, short films by local filmmakers commissioned and broadcast by the former WYBE television station (IPMF's predecessor).

Via the 2020 Community Voice grant, PhillyCAM will offer a virtual Latinx Multimedia Reporting Fellowship in Fall 2020 to train 12 Latinx producers in multimedia reporting skills and build stronger bridges for content distribution and collaborative production among the expanding network of new initiatives supporting and amplifying local Latinx stories and information. During the Fellowship participants will work in teams to produce stories for distribution on PhillyCAM television, radio, online and on other local Spanish language platforms. The opportunity will be available to emerging journalists and community media producers looking to sharpen their skills or explore a new medium.

COVID-19 Emergency Fund to 2019 Grantees.

This six-month planning grant will support research and planning for a new television and radio broadcast series inspired by WYBE's signature series, Philadelphia Stories. In conjunction with exploring a relaunch of the series, PhillyCAM will strengthen its mentorship role, bolstering its role as a community connector and network builder for diverse local media makers and producers.

Through the 2021 Digital Equity grant, the Equity Project will provide Kensington's majority Black and brown community with access to state of art technology and broadband internet, the skill-building and knowledge needed to navigate digital content and technology, and the media grassroots organizing tools to empower community members, youth and old, to be leaders and advocates for their families and community.
