For the film, "Crowned" by Keyssh Datt, which is the story of a teenage boy's journey toward inner peace, self-transformation, and justice after his mother is shot and killed.

For the film, "Omossa" by Ingrid Raphaël, which tells the story of a woman, haunted by her mother's disappearance during a catastrophic flood, who rescues an unfamiliar person from the river and unlocks the truth about her mother.

For the film "Della Can Fly!" In hopes of reuniting with his long-lost sister, an eccentric old man, in desperate need to prove to his family that she flew away, partners with his grieving 10-year-old great-niece to rectify the family myth, proving it to be true.

For the film, "The Word for World" by Cybee Ford, which is a short, poetic animation illustrating the struggles and dreams of six people across Philadelphia who are fighting to protect their homes and neighboring forests from development.

For the film, "Dance Legends of Philly," which follows a community of Black elders who gather throughout the week for partnered dancing.

For the film, "House of Healing," which tells the story of Devin Jones finding pain relief after being cut off from his health insurance.

For the film, "Miwa," which traces sounds and stories of the Haitian diaspora with film and music.

To support the 2023 Securing the Roots fellowship cohort, which will focus on capacity-building for media makers.
